PE-Obligation

Permanent Education (PE) is crucial for register controllers to keep their professional knowledge and skills up-to-date and stay informed about societal and economic developments. The established PE scheme ensures the level of the RC title and outlines a framework for ongoing education. The RC title includes an annual PE obligation of 40 PE points, including three points in the area of professional ethics, with a recommended balance between subject matter expertise and personal effectiveness. Evidence of completed PE activities must be recorded with the VRC, where compliance with the PE obligation and the quality of the reported activities are monitored by the VRC board and the Quality Assurance Committee. Within the framework of the PE scheme, it is the individual responsibility of register controllers to shape their personal and professional development with activities of added educational value. The VRC Finance Academy provides a wide range of courses and events focused on current themes such as innovation, digitization, sustainability, and ethics, facilitating register controllers in fulfilling their PE obligation.

VRC-Code of Conduct

The VRC aims to promote responsible professional practice and ensures compliance by establishing and enforcing the VRC Code of Conduct. The VRC Code of Conduct reflects the core values of integrity, professionalism, and accountability in the work of the registered controller, providing them with guidance in addressing ethical issues and making responsible decisions in the professional business context. As a professional association, the VRC encourages its members to uphold integrity and trust in the registered controller by adhering to the Code of Conduct. The Disciplinary Board assesses compliance with the Code of Conduct through the complaint procedure, enabling the VRC to continue promoting integrity among its members and encouraging registered controllers to act responsibly. If registered controllers encounter an ethical dilemma or behavioral conflict that cannot be resolved within the organization, the VRC ombudsman provides support in addressing the dilemma, in accordance with the VRC Code of Conduct.
